the hole where the distributor goes above the pump
or the hole in where the oil filter goes (where the oil from pump comes up)
thanks, Justin
The one where the filter mounts, where oil comes up from the pump.

HEP = hall effect pickup. Black thingy inside distributor.

With no signal from the HEP, the ASD relay shuts off, killing fuel and spark.

I use the HEP method because it's easier to get the plugs apart. The injector harness plug can be a pain to disconnect, and there's also the chance of the brittle plastic breaking. HEP connectors are soft rubber, no chance of 'em breaking.

Just fill up crankcase, add a little oil to the filter, remove spark plugs, disconnect HEP, crank engine until pressure shows or around 30 secs. Bang in plugs, reconnect HEP and start car-DONE!

When you run a motor with no Oil Pressure, the Oil tends to get HOT and turn to SLUDGE. Another words, you cooked the oil!!

That is where your SLUDGE came from. The first thing any motor builder would tell you is you have to PRIME the Oil Pump.
Can anyone add to this?
