What PN for TII rods, and do I need to have anything done to the rods for prep?

The old studs will need to be pressed out, the new ones installed, and the rods resized.

thanks. Unfortunately, that's $120, since the local places want $20/rod to resize.

Thats about right.

What you might consider as an option is to just buy a new set of reconditioned rods from FWD-P. Last I checked, Cindy sold them for $200 a set and they were completely reconditioned, resized, shoot peened with ARP bolts installed. I am not sure if FWD still needs core rods, but if they do they may buy back your old ones. When I needed rods a few months back, FWD was buying back cores for $15 each. If that is still the case, you can end up with a completely like new set of rods for $140. Thats what I did. (But, I was only able to trade in 3 old rods as the 4th was shaped like the letter "C" )

I'll wait until I rebuild it...I was just going in to remove the balance shafts, and checking bearing before I put the 2.5 in my car. Hoped maybe they were like old-school SBC or LS1, and I could just slap them in there!
Thanks though!
