I'm in the process of talking to a VERY reputable piston manufacturer about throwing their hat in the ring for some forged 2.2/2.5 pistons.
These guys know their business and know boost.
Who would be interested? I figure even if the price is the same as J&Es or Venolias, it would be nice to have another choice.
I'll know a little more tomorrow.
Nothing to get worked up about just yet, I was just curious if there would be interest?
Company ame to be mentioned in the near future.

WOW! Can you mention who it is? What kind of rings? Is this a normal price or GP price?
Oh yeah, spiral locks on "mine" too. They could be done on a GP basis also.

How good or bad are the Mopar Performance rings?
Mine would be sotkc replacement-style FORGED from Diamond. $310/set plus shipping single order direct from Diamond.

Wiseco does not rely on a group buy. Anyone can contact them directly and order, just mention my name (duane Snyder is the contact). Rings are included... SCOTT_S can fill you in on what he paid. I have NO direct involvement (nor do I want to). I just specc'ed them out based on shortcomings I've seen. Wiseco evaluated the change and agreed.

The pistons are the same basic design Alderman runs. The tolerances held by Wiseco are outstanding. We've Mic'ed them. Took until the .000000 (hundred thousandth)before 1 piston deviated from another. Recomended bore clearance from Wiseco is ONLY .0035" Tighter than any other Mfg.

Both 2.5 and 2.2 are available.

I have a few questions about the new offerings: Will these require a file fit ring? Will single replacements be available after a meltdown situation occurs? What size are the pins? What is the difference between a stock piston ring landing and your custom specifications?
