What brand should I use? My machinist noted that the Clevite 77's I wanted to buy from FWDperformnace were generic compared to the Federal Mogul "race" bearings he recommends. I want my block to be rock solid so what should I choose?

I don't know what's different bout the "race" bearings but I'm pretty sure the majority of us use the Clevites. No problems. If the race bearings are better I'd say go for it. Bearing are fairly inexpensive anyway.
