Hey

I have a 88 Chrysler 2.2 Turbo 1 engine that im getting bored out .030 over but Im needing pistons Im thinkin just cast thats all I can afford where can I get them at? Allso im wondering can I use T2 Pistons and Rods? or what has too be changed too do this? Im needing it too be a little bit stronger I did have 13psi last time on a mitsubishi which is being changed for a Garrett t03 t2 rebuilt , engine needs too be reliable and worry free. I like too run around the sameboost or even 15psi. Please tell me what too do Im trying too do it for at least 1500.00$ im putting it in doing most of the engine work myself except the boreing and stuff.

The major difference between T1 Pistons and Rods and T2 Pistons and rods is that the T2's used a Floating Pin Piston and Standard Rods that had been treated or something to make them stronger. You should be able to Run 15psi on those internals, you might want to find a T2 forged crank for added reliability.

TII rods are heavier and noticibly larger to look at. TII pistons are floating pin
TI rods are the LW rods. Thinner and not a strong, the pistons are press pin.

Your block would work fine with TII rods and pistons. 16 psi would not be an issue.
