Sign of detonation I assume? #2 piston, plug gap was closed, didnt look like by contact, but from melting I would assume, I say this because there were no markings on the plug where it had been hit. The plugs are NGK V groove. Planning on going to the RN9YC champions. But does pits on the top of the piston going to equal certain death? Stock Mahles. I haven't had the head off to check to see if there is any other damage.

Any ideas? Anyone had this happen?
