more importantly can you run a crank scraper and/or windage with them on a 2.5?

The blocks are IDENTICAL( 2.2 v.s 2.5). I did't assemble my new bottom end (for the 1st time had the machine shop do it) If I recall correctly.. there is an issue with the studs where you cannot sink them all the way.

Main studs should NOT interfere with a scraper.. I installed one on my new block

The ones they sell are actually for non common blocks. You can ask Cindy when you order them for longer ones for the common block.

I know that isn't a lot of help, since you have them already, but maybe she will exchange them for you.

I had the same problem. This is what I did:

I put the center cap on, and only screwed the stud in enough to where it would be flush with the end of the nut (wish the washer installed as well). This means that the outmost 2 studs have more of the stud in the block than the inner ones.
It's been this way, my car runs great, and I've got over 3000 miles on the new motor so far with no problems.

how much stress are you putting on it though, i.e. boost rpm? I don't want to take any chances. It kind of defeats the purpose of using HD fasteners if they don't clamp down!

Like someone mentioned.... there are early block studs, then there are common block studs which are a bit longer. Cindy needs to have this clarified on her site if she hasn't already to save future problems.
