i own a 2.5L shelby daytona. i wish to find another 2.5 block to play with. what i want to do is

1. bore it (is 0.060 too much. how much can i bore it?)
2. stroke it( are there stroker kits for the 2.5?)
3. will use performance rods and pistons.
4. any advice or ideas are welcome.

Do some research. You are thinking V-8 here. The 2.5 is already short winded enough. To attempt to stroke it would only hurt the powerband worse.

A well thought out 2.5L is fully capable of over 400ft lbs of torque to the ground. Boring these engines to get displacement is another issue. Little to no gain. Most bore .020" over the 1st time. .060 will thin the block too much.

I was a little confused when I saw this thread title, I though it had something to do with those e-mails I've been receiving. :big grin:
