I was pretty sure that if a motor was honed on a machine built after 1970, the rings should seat within one or 2 heat cycles. Mine did. Two heat cycles on my current engine and my compression was 160 across the board

ahhh yes but with gas getting past the rings it may be causing them not to seat

if the ring question was directed at me I am using the federal mogul (sp?) rings

it wont hurt anything if I unhook the turbo for a few hundred miles to try to help the rings would it

stumbling and missing might be because of cam.......if it were me i'd ignore it for now....

in my honest opinion....i would run the thing for awhile....

and i would.....after break in.....run it hard.......

if she is loose....loose can be fast...and if she is tight....tight might loosen with use.......it happens

when im looking at a JASPER alternative....im gonna run her rough, tough and tumble.....and if she blows.........she blows......

of course if you have $2000 pistons and rods..and a new forged crank......and you are worried ....tear it back apart.......

Depends on what you mean by "unhook". I guess the easieat way is to bypass it for a while. Or you could just lower the boost back dow to say... 5 lbs for a while. If you want to bypass it just run the intake pipe straight to the throttle body instead of through the turbo and ic first.
What I would do is tear the engine back apart, and check everything there first.
