Well, here i am again with yet another problem.
Latley the car has been hittin it up very stupidly, i recently got it taken in cause some mainn upper and lower seals got murdered so i had to get them replaced. since then there are several things that are very odd... here are a few of them

Engine shifts much later then it used to
Engine is not working in neutral and seems like the whole block moves greater ammount when shifting from Park to reverse or drive.
Engine seems to be runnning alot cooler (but when i remove the oil cap its freakin smoking in there like a hot box on cruise night.

Here are the main mods and repair that i have done within the last 2 months when thes problems started to arise -

Intake system - K&N Filter
Muffler - Removed stock and put on a TUNED 3009 Performance muffler (DID NOT REMOVE CADDY OR RETONER)
Painted calipers and brake drums **Not like this matters but eh...**
got the 3 seals and timing belt replaced

Any suggestions guys would be appreciated.

Thanks a TON!

**If i do not get any help within the next 3-4 days, il be writing off the car**

how much later is it shifting... outside temp can effect when the trans shifts... was there a change in temp since the mods?

what do you mean by "not working in neutral"?

if it moves more, then your motor mounts are prolly kinda beat. check them for tears.

cool engine... like where on the gauge? mine ususally runs 1/4" from the line above the "C" and thats at around 195 on my scanner at that point. did you replace the thermostat?

everytime the car needs maintenance or a part replaced doesnt mean that the car is trashed and its time to get a new motor, or to junk it etc... keep on driving it and working on it.. good luck

Your trans woes could be he misadjusted the kickdown cable or knocked it around when doing the repairs. Recheck the adjustment and yes, as Brian said, maybe the motor mounts finally packed it in.!

hey Pimpedaries....

i saw your other post about the 2nd gear not working and the car moving forward in neutral... does the car also try to move forward when the car in park and stuff? if it does the valve body is all clogged with metal.

Brian

Well here is what is happening now -

When in park - car stays parked and all brakes lock up - ok
when car is in reverse the car acts as if its in neutral, but makes then motor lock up and will not go forward, BUT when i shift it from park to reverse the whole engine litterally looks like its going to plant itself in the firewall

Motor mounts are good

When car is in drivve it will no longer shift into 2nd gear and when you try to manually when using the "1" "2" it will not shift, just stays in drive and 1st gear, now here is where is gets kinda odd, the exhaust is nnow puttin out some really nice black smoke when im revvin it trying to get it to hit 3000 RPM, yet still will not hit 2nd gear or go over 2500 rpm.

My friend told me it was the Torque Converter jsut beside the tranny pan, so i WAS going to take a quick look at it to see whats what, but wont do it until i get your adivse guys.

Thanks for all the help so far, you guys have been great.

95 and Juiced? Probably more trouble than its worth IMHO. You have to be careful when buying modded cars (especially ones bordering on 10yrs old) that you are not buying someone elses mistakes and problems.

The juice alone would make me cautious as to buying this car. I wouldn't be suprised if the owner is young and flogged the car at every traffic light.

peer pressure is a powerfull thing eh?

Oh one thing about the Civic SI hatchback . I raced one.. a 2002.. and beat it.. bottom end, and on top end..he couldnt even touch me and my, SUZUKI SWIFT tops out at 110MPH!!

So yah.. you might want to choose the integra..the other, not QUITE as slow car.

ok, if you are going to be a ricer... i suggest one external mod for those cars.... an eaton M90 or an eaton M62.... these cars have 0 torque but tons of high end.... positive displacement blowers add much needed torque and dont hinder the high end.
