I think over the winter I'm gonna buy another block and rebuild it for my GLHS charger and I need your opinions on what I should use/buy for this engine. I'd like to stay with the 2.2 block and I'm looking to run mid 13's and lower and keep it RELIABLE...of course mid 13's will lead to the need for more speed so this engine should be able to get me into the 12's with a set of drag radials of course. So lets hear your parts recommendations on things to upgrade and possibly some prices for parts so I can make this happen in the future. Remember I want it to be reliable as possible and keep it streetable. thanks ahead of time.

as far as i know, the stock shortblock is plenty stout for 12s in a charger. if you wanna go all out, you can get arp rod bolts and main studs, go for the bigger chevy wrist pin with forged pistons (did the glhs come with forged pistons as a t-2?). definately use a mopar perormance head gasket. i would build a commonblock 2.2 for the stronger block, and the rods should be as strong as true t-2 rods, so that's that. besides that, you shouldn't have any problems putting 12s through these engines in a lightweight toboggan like a charger.
