Wow, only $160 to assemble the short block, maybe I'll have someone assemble mine for me, instead of me doing it so I don't end up screwing it up. Then again, I'd want to be there to help and learn. Not too bad though, I'm hoping mine will be around that, then again, I'm just doing the short block for now till I save enough for some port work on my bare bone head I have sitting in my spare room.

No kidding, what are they made of?

But apart from a few items, not bad.
I also saw the labour for the pistons and rods, wow, $36 to Re and Re, the pins are not a pressed fit, its undo the clip and they slide off, then they charge you $54 to resize, thats cool but then another $40 to fit the pin, getting alittle rich here.
Then this one kills me, they charge you $45 to clean the block, thats ok but then they charge you another $80 to clean it again then magnaflux it. Double billing, gotta love it!

Even if it is, with the exchange rate, which for us Canadians is hovering around 1.28, yippee, would have saved hundreds if he bought them form FWD performance or Relentless?

yea they didn,t wash the block twice,he took that off once i drove up there to get it he miss printed it(i kindly pionted that out),it was washed, then magfor my piece of mind, and yes the pistons were around 1000 for me here from JE direct ,the shop was showing me the cost from there,at the time it was the cheapest i could find(if ya call 800 bucks cheap) what are ya gonna do???here in the maritimes its hard to get things for these cars the shop ordered them direct from FWM.they added the shipping cost and every thing.all and all i figure i did pretty good.oh yea the pistons (JE forged aluminum)were bought a year ago when the exchange wasn,t so great rememeber this was a year long build as i got the parts.

It was four years ago when i took it off the road for this "LAST" build and i just got it on the road about a month ago and it works super cool so far ,the 02 is crappen out on me but other than that it is really awsome to drive after a four year wait.I like the look on peoples face when you give it ,she breaks lose at 25 mph (its auto)and then let off and the turbo x BOV blows off nice and loud.some are totaly mystified that all that came from a four door shadow

Seriously though, most the good guys around here are the same way, scribble it down, if it's not scribbled its in the mental notebook!
