i picked up a another td and one of the guys (not the owner) who knew the owner (before he died) said it made some bottem end noise like clanks or something.. he said it was probably bearings on the crank?? It's a stick car well kept now what are the chances that being the problem?

i can't get the thing started till i bypass the alarm system.

I would say that if it "clanks" tear it apart cause it probably spun a bearing.
