I REALLY need someones help here, and quick.

The bearings in my 2.2 TII are Clevite 77 0.25mm (they are stampped on the back of the bearings) .. rods and mains.

So I go to the dealership to put in a order for the same size 0.25mm bearings, only difference is that they are Mopar. I get the bearings and the size 0.025mm is stampped on the back of the new bearings.

I called a machine shop to ask them if they have any .25mm available and they do, but they don't even have 0.025mm listed for the 2.2 TII. Is this some strange labelling that Mopar does to keep unique? Is Mopar 0.025mm the same as everyone elses 0.25mm?

This sounds really stupid, I know .. but some guidance is all I am asking for. Thank you.

No, .025mm is correct. It's for engines that have a little wear (high milage, but still on good shape), and you just want to freshen up the bearings. Crank is not machined in this case.

.25mm is the first "rebuilt" undersize.

In other words, .025mm is correct, and is 1/10th the oversize of .25mm. You'll need to find some .25mm undersize bearings.

Ok .. thanks for the clear up.
I ordered a set from another place .. (.25mm) and went to pick them up today. However, when I went in, they had .5mm bearings delivered to them! ARGH! .. How can this happen TWICE? I mean, I state the size I need like 3 times before I leave the store. Anyway .. sorry about the rant. Tuesday is the day I get the proper sized bearings (hopefully) and finish up the car. Thanks for the reply.

The bearings will be Federal Mogul ....
