Ok, so I finished pulling the head on the 85 Daytona Turbo and found cracks in 2 pistons. I do have used 88 Daytona Shelby Z pistons and was wondering if I could use 88 pistons/floating pins on 85 rods? Thanks in advance.

You will need to have the rods machined/honed for the full floating pin.

You can use the 88 pistons on the 85 rods without any problem. As the 85 rods are press fit you will have to have a machine shop do the swap as the press fit rods need to be properly heated to have the wrist pins installed. The wrist pin "floats" in all pistons, it's the rods that are either press fit or floating.
The 88 pistons have a larger dish than the 85 pistons so your compression ratio will be slightly lower, great for running higher boost. Off boost throttle response will be a little more sluggish with the lower compresssion however.

Thanks
Randy

Or you could just have the pins pressed into your 85 rods and not have the floating pin effect in the rods, as they were originally in your 85 engine. A good machine shop will be able to do this for you.
I used to by 88 pistons for my 86 non floating rod engine in bulk and have them pressed in.

because 85 rods are the HD type(like a TII rod but without the HD rod cap), and an 88 will have the LW rods. You could use the caps off your 88 rods on your 85 rods and have what is more or less a TII rod, you would just need to get them resized on the big end.
