I feel like my TBI motor has a bit high of compression ratio and wondering if anyone here has had any luck just throwing turbo pistons and new rings in a re-honed cylinder and running it. I'm converting my t1 setup with a tbi motor to a t2 setup with water/air this winter so i'm thinking i might as well drop a little compression while i'm at it. Anyone who's done it drop me your results, thanks.

As long as your piston to wall clearance is ok, then no worries. Make sure to use turbo rods, the later CB's are better.

This is just a fun motor anyway i'm not expecting much out of it, if i have to sweep it up in a dust pan it'll be ok, i have one more good tbi motor and a 2.5CB waiting to get the full treatment (only in 2.2 trim). Whats the max piston wall clearance before you start breaking skirts?
