Is there a good reputable machine shop in s.w. michigan that anyone knows about? I have another engine that i want to get rebuilt because I am getting a free 86 shelby charger and would like to have an engine for it. I plan on getting all the goodies I.E. JE pistons, clevite bearings, T-2 rods, arp studs, etc, etc, etc. If anyone knows of a good machine shop around s.w. michigan though, please let me know.

theres a place called c&d engines in hudsonville mich. i know the guy and hes so anal retentive that his work is excellent. he's not the leading authority on turbo dodges, but his machine work is top notch. i had a motor redun from some place in lansing, and rod caps were put on backwards and casy strightened it all out. a couple of friends of mine are running his rebuilds with no problems, hes not the cheapest but very reasonable. by the way, hooterville is sw of gr. good luck.

if you want to travel to the detroit area, there is a guy name don at Hastings in hazel park, he is very reputable and reasonable.
35 for hot tanking, 40 for magnafluxing, 150 for a complete head job, another 125 for port and polishing with a 5 angle valve job, 75 for turrning a crank and so on
