Are there other pluses or minuses to Venolias or any other brand of forged pistons that I should know about? I cannot used the forged pistons from the T-II currently in my daytona, and this is why.
Your link links to this thread? but any forged is ok, they say Ross is the best though! Gary D had them made to his specs.

why why why does it do that? Every link I or image I try to post always points back to the thread its from! Oh well. the link is http://www.freewebs.com/koreth/piston1a.jpg

The shop that did the last head on that engine didn't do the vales on cyl 1 right and it dropped them both.the one that is not permanently emedded in the piston is sitting in the oil pan. I hope the rod isn't damaged.

EDIT: Hey what the heck? I did not turn that into a link, why did it do it automatically. don't click it, copy and paste into your browser addy bar.

shiny and smooth. Cannot see any cross-hatches from honing, so it would need to be rehoned if I was to use that block. I'm not planning to. That engine will be replaced with one from an 88 T-II Lebaron so the daytona could at least go places while I try to build up a bullet proof racing engine.

You should have seen the combution chamber on the head. I took a look at it when I was at the shop the previous owner works at. It didn't look like a combustion chamber anymore, more like someone crudly hacked a hole out of a piece of aluminum.

How'd you gernade the valve in the first place? Or it was just its 'time'?

A co-worker just smoked his modifed stock car motor a month ago, roller fell out of the rocker tip and broke the valve off, looked very similar to yours, except his went through the cyl wall, got lucky on you're block.

this was the previous owner's mess, something about the valve comming loose or breaking or something, because the shop that did the head screwed up. Now I cannot help but wonder: What the heck did that sound like when it happened? Couldn't have been pretty.
