What should I use to bolt a torque plate to my head? I know people have used the stock bolts with spacers made out of wrist pins to get the same depth of penetration, but i only have four wrist pins and need 10.
I thought about buying some high quality bolts that are shorter, but i'm not sure what type to get, what thread pitch are the bolts? And what grade (ie 8.8 12.9 etc) should I get? Would that work pretty well, or do the OEM head bolts have some kind of special stretching qualities that won't be easy to find?

I had a couple torque plates... still have a brand new one. but what I did for bolt is I went to Fastenal to get 10mm and 11mm bolts they were under $1 each for exactly what was needed.

I ended up using a set of main cap bolts that had to be cut a tad to get the propper thread depth. The machine shop said they couldn't use the plate with the headbolts and spacers because they stuck up too far and there was a chance it would break their honing machine. I looked for 2 days for the propper length 11mm bolts all over the place and simply could not find them. To those that did...congrats!
