How much of an increase in peak oil pressure am I going to see by sticking a washer behind the spring? I want about 10psi more oil pressure. Or should I goto all the trouble to figure out installed height of spring vs spring rate and relieve valve surface area to calculate how much I need to shim it?

How about the Mopar Performance oil pressure spring, P3690944. I picked one up about 6 months ago so they should still be available; I think less than $10. Someone here might know how much of an increase it is, but I don't have a oil pressure gauge in the car.

I have used the spring and works well, I honestly got it because I rebuilt my stock oil pump and needed the cap for the relief spring. It runs higher on my stock guage than before so it should get you 10 psi but remember, it will only affect higher rpms as thats when the relief works,

Exactly what I wanted, I dont' want more low-rpm oil pressure, i want more peak, the 50psi come at about 3,000rpm now. I intend on road-racing a little bit next year and intend to run the motor 4-5+ rpm all afternoon

i.e. the oil cooler thats on there, and the p/s cooler i'm adding with my new rack
