Not true. Honing creates shallow grooves that permit a small amount of oil to stick to the cylinder walls. Too much oil in the cylinders creates smoke and low octane problems; properly honed cylinders allow just enough oil to lubricate the pistons.

is it needed to replace the intermediate shaft bushings/bearings?
btw. my motor is in parts because i spun a rodbearing due to massive oil loss.
so how can i see, if they're junk?

I replaced mine while the engine was still in the car. Just line up the oil holes and carefully TAP it in.
The way I saw that my bushing was bad, the shaft had a lot of play when installed. It should be a snug fit but still be able to rotate without much resistence.
