the Machine shop that builds motors for e town cars uses them and told me why not use these pistons if they can handle 1,000 + hp it can handle your car

Just about any decent forged piston will do that, there are already 3 excellent pistons for our cars available, Venolia, Wiseco and Ross, JEs are there also, but Im not a fan.

Why are you not a fan of JE's, are they built weaker than the others. I heard JEs were pretty good. But then again, I would take any of those sets over a set of stockers.

I'm also wondering why not JE's? I'm in the planning stages of building up a 2.5L monster and because it's a 2.5, I'm paying special attention to what pistons I should get. I've heard that the 2.5's are harder on pistons than the 2.2's. Sure there are a few things that I'm gonna be doing based on "biggest bang for the buck", but with a high-boost 2.5, I'd rather only do pistons once, regardless of the cost.

They are a very hard piston, but the hardening makes them brittle and less tolorant to abuse. Ive personally assisted in the rebuilding of my friends turbo honda that at 15 psi and some minor to moderate detonation broke pieces out of every piston in the same place, which was by the valve reliefs. Ive also chatted with a number of others that had failures. There are those who have good luck with them, but My 2 choices other than OEM Mahles would be Venolia or Wiseco.
