Wouldn't you just use 2.2 pistons?

Or if you want to make it easier on yourself, 87-91 2.2 TII/TIV pistons

Put simply, I think I need to know what year I need the pistons from so that everything will work together.
Thanks a million.

What they said.
You can use either the cast or the forged crank just so you know. I'd just go with a cast one though, I don't think anyone has ever broken one and they are lighter. More HP

Depends on his power and boost level. If he's going for big numbers, forged is best insurance, been there done that. One wrong move and he has 4 new ashtrays.

He was talking forged crank vs. cast crank.. Pistons it's a no brainer, you get what you pay for.

Hahhhaaha, missed the crank part, doh!
But with cranks, doesn't matter, there both good, but the cast crank is alot lighter, as Turbo Charger pointed out.

As far as the pistons go, I really wanted forged but budget won't allow it. As a starving college student it will be a miracle if this rebuild gets finished at all. Besides, it's not THAT hard to change the pistons down the line.

No, but its a PITA when you do it a few times a month, lol!
