I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with crankshafts that have been turned .75 mm? I have a 2.5 with balance shafts removed and run 2.2 bushed rods with wiesco pistons I use a T04E turbo with 22psi boost and while driving to work I lost oil pressure and be before I noticed and shut it down I tore up the crank and discolored the rod end.Anyway I ordered a reman crank and it comes with mains @.25mm and rods @ .75mm Has anyone run one with it turned this far? Thanks in advance

So, you ordered a crank like this, or did you have your crank turned?

All you need to do really is have your crank turned, and use larger bearings. When you say discoloured the rod end... do you mean on the crankshaft, or did the rod itself get damaged?

Rods normally have a slight bluing to them at the small end just from normal operation.

it had spun #2 and #3 rod bearings and rod ends were very discolored I think it could have been saved but the reman crank was $125 with bearings and the machine shop wants $80 to turn a crank and it was already at .25mm to start so I went with the reman to make matters worse I got reman rods from NAPA and one of the rods had a bushing in it that wasn't even close to the size of the pin (smaller diameter) so I took them and my pistons to NAPA machine shop and figured I would just let them install the pistons since I purchased the rods from them.$90 later and two weeks and I got my pistons and rods back they charged me $45 for 4 piston pin retaining clips($10 for clips $10 for packaging and $15 for freight) $20 for installing rods and $25 for misc labor which I was told was to fit the rods (their reman rods!) by the way my pistons are weisco do they usually charge like that for clips NAPA told me this was just passed to me because thats what they got charged? Anyway its finally starting to warm up so I'm anxious to get the daytona running again so I guess its going back together with what I've got
