Does anyone have any experience with our engines and running a tight piston to head clearance (Quench / squash) of around .035", either NA or turbo? Thanks for your time.

.025". I deck block until pistons come out .040. gaskets I use are .065 compressed. 14½:1 compression 325hp all motor...no cheating NOS, turbo, supercharger.

as you can tell, he promotes higher compression turbo motors... of course he is working with none pita heads, but the point is still made.

Unless you redesign the piston top. However that would up the compression to around 10.5:1. With the thermal issue with hot air flow from bad flow and being non cross fed, you will be both hotter, and have more issues with keeping hot spots out of the combustion chamber. knock, knock, boom!!!!!
