How can you tell if your bearings are standard?

I pulled my pistons to replace them and all the rod bearing say on the back side is al-6? I'm assuming they are standard seeing as I think I'm the first person to open the bottom end since it was built. Also on a side note, I pulled a mains to see if it was ok..but I honestly can't tell; the crank looks great, and there is no copper color in the bearing. But there are a few decent knicks in the bearing surface. Should I replace the 4 I can (Engine is in the car), or is that normal? Thanks for your help again.

usually when they are oversized, it's right there on the back. most of the factory bearings i've seen just have a date on them, though. go ahead and mic the journal. since the bearing fit in the first place, that'll tell you what size they were.

the al-6 is on the factory bearings i pulled on my 2.5, and one of my 2.2.
if your not seeing any copper and the crank looks ok, you should be able to get by with some new ones(if you had good oil press. before), just be sure to plastigauge them..
