Want to swap out ailing 2.2 T2 from GLHS

...and replace it with a 2.5L T1 Engine assembly (new). I intend to purchase this engine locally. Of course I want to bolt all my T2 stuff on it and put it back in my '87 GLHS. What year 2.5L is a good easy swap for my existing '87 GLHS 2.2L? I'm told '91 Daytona is the way to go. What do you think?

BTW, I see there is already a HUGE thread on this subject, but I'd spend the next 5 years trying to read through it all. Has anyone attempted this and can just give some pointers?

Things to watch out for? Gotchas?
