hey all i took my 88 sundance turbo into a big 4 dodge and chrysler for then to look at teck says he would not touch it because the engine mounts are all most gone i asked him. "if that was the clunking sound from when i put it in gear" he sayed yes also sayed the reason my car wa sback fireing a little..is this true when i put my car in "R" or "D" the car clunks bad somtimes the whole car shakes..is there any way to fix it.

it certainly could be....if the mounts are really bad, or gane, there will be noticible vibration on accel, and they can make a "clunking" sound when you shift...

Your clutch could be bad. Mine shook really bad when trying to get started. When I pulled the clutch...all the little springs had broken free.

He said put in d so is it a automatic? Yes the mounts especally the front will clunk if worn out. Jack up one side in park try to turn the wheel and see how much the engine moves.

Take it to someone who does'nt run away from an old turbo dodge.
He should of just said it needs all the mounts to start with and go from there. Hopefully someone on here can help you find a friendly turbo dodge mechanic.

hey guys thx for the info yeah it's an auto..trying to find somone to fix a turbo dodge is a challange for me if anyone knows of people in calgary plz tell me.

so far i liek the car i raced a 2002 v-tec civic and won :P on till i was going 120 then he passed me...anyways thx again for the info.
