2.5 w/o balance shafts

I was taking apart a 2.5 common block that did not have balance shafts, no bolt holes for balance shafts nor any oil feed hole for lubing the shafts, anyone else come across this kind of setup? part number on the block is 43151320 with build date of 1-23-89

The dodge pickup trucks from what I have heard did not have balance shafts, because they didn't have the room for them under the car (deeper oil pan) without scraping the ground on hard bumps.

Possibly this is what you found?

heres something weird.......my 89 shelby has a late build date (on the door i think it says in 1990 maybe april but the book and the VIN run as an 89) and its a 2.2L TII with balance shafts.....odd odd car

thats what i was thinking......that it was built so late they already started building the 2.2 Turbo bottom ends with balance shafts.....its odd though
