Just curious if there should be a marking on it anywhere, I have one that is supposed to be an MP SMEC, but have no way of telling. I'd like to sell it now, but I need to have some reliable way of knowing what it is.

BTW I bought it off a board member about 8 months ago IIRC. Not saying he wasn't trustworthy, just that I'd like to have some way of justifying it to be what it is before selling it.

TIA. -AJ

Should have a part number on it.. With 3 large digits, those are the calibration number.. Little gray sticker, very hard to read with age. If nothing else, you'll have to take it apart, pull the power board out (comes out easily) and look in the lower right corner to see the eprom, it'll have a sticker with the 3 digit calibration # on it..

OK, the outside sticker has 5227 in small letters, then 794 in big numbers.

The Eprom says 132 on it, though, if I'm looking at the right thing.

That p/n doesn't match any of the ones listed in the old Mopar Performance 2.2/2.5 book. All of the one's I've seen have Mopar Performance on the sticker and the p/n is prefixed with the letter P.

If you have a scan tool, you can read the p/n that way too.

There were also some custom cals by Neil Emiro from past years. Best check with the original seller as to source.
I just checked two databases 5227 #'s were logic or power modules. This is supposed to be for what year? The smec's start with 5233
