`Hi Guys!

I just wonder if you have any knowledge of running a `Tona T2 on ethanol?

Now, with extreme gas-prices, you have to look around for alternatives and here in Sweden alot of people is running a lot of different cars on, atleast, 50% ethanol. Very often you donīt have to modify anything, thats the case on my father-in-laws Peugeot V6, but if you do you usually higher the fuelpressure. Is it common in the states ? I understand that all of Brazil runs on ethanol and that thereīs alot of manufacturers building/ soon to build bi-fuel cars with some fuel/ignintion management system thats expensive and obviuosly not always neccesary !. I know of people running tuned Saab and Volvo turbos whithout any probs or mods and even found a smother ride with ethanol so itīs worth a try but I would love your opinion as TurboDodges are VERY few in Sweden !!

You should read the "Alcohol / Methanol / Water Injection" section of the forums by clicking on this sentence. I've learned alot so far from it, and hope learn more!

We have 10% available here at the pumps. A few places offer E85 but not very many. Most of the state cars run on E85, FFV are becoming more widespread.
I don't know the answer to your question. I know ethanol has a lower BTU content and higher octane. So by richening the mixture you can compensate for the BTU difference.

Hi!

In some way it does but then there, depending om who you ask, is/could be an issue of E85 beeing agressive to some plastics and elder injectors made of poor material. I donīt know if this is just shooting blanks from the goverment since theyīre getting much less tax-income if people start using E85, atleast here in Sweden, and for awhile anyway so I was kinda interested if there is any wider knowledge of using E85 in turbo Dodges ?
I understand that changing the fuelfilter is not optional since E85 cleans out alot of old dirt but hey, thatīs a good reason to do it anyway..
