Tuning with LM-1

I'm tired of wondering how well in tune my cars are so I've decided to buy the Innovate Motorsports LM-1. I plan on buying several bung/plugs with it so I can tune the five turbocharged cars my brother and I own.

Have a couple questions about it:

1. How do you route the sensor wiring into the car?

2. Is it worth it to buy the RPM adapter and inductive pickup, or can I get by without it?

3. Anybody use the LM-1 with the optional AuxBox?

4. Where can I get wideband O2 sensors for a good price that are compatible with the LM-1?

1. I am going to be using the PLX WBO2, but I plan on running the cable from the O2 sensor through the gromet for the shifter cables. If that does not pan out, then I will put a gromet in the same general vicinity.

4. All the auto parts stores should have it. You might be able to get it for cheap off of the internet too though. Although the parts stores probalbly have a 3mo. warranty which might be benificial if you will be running race gas. You might be able to cash in on the warranty when there is a girl working.

I do believe the LM1 uses a bosch wideband o2 sensor. and if you check out the website and get the part number you can go and get one from a local Volkswagen dealership. and to my knowledge it should be direct plug in. I just have the basic set up. no rpm adapter or anything. but I haven't got to use it yet. hope this helps

Precat o2 seosor for a vw passat? and golf? i believe. At the auto parts stores its over 100. At the vw dealership, its 30. I couldnt believe it myself.

Where is the best place to weld the bung in? None of our cars have catylitic convertors. I was thinking of mounting them on the downpipe just after it goes straight along the bottom of the ground.

should be at least 18 inches away from the turbo 36 is youre going to run leaded fuel ever

that's where i mounted mine. I've been using the LM-1 for 2 years now. no more guessing. i don't use the rpm or the other stuff but its a good idea to have if you plan to record. my o2 last about a year on race fuel.

Does the gauge react quickly to changing A/F ratios? Quickly enough that you can back off the throttle to prevent damage if it's too lean?

What is a good WOT A/F ratio to aim for with a modded SOHC 2.2/2.5?

That's pretty fast.
