Hey all. Problem started a while back i was driving and hit a hella bump in the road...car just died. I realized after repeated attempts to restart that the fuel pump wasn't doing its usual "hiss" when I turn the key. Went back a few hours later and it started fine. Now a few weeks later it is doing it again, out of the blue, but it is intermittent. Sometimes it will go....most of the time it wont. I have checked every wire I can see and it all seems fine. So I am kinda left with the pump itself, but how the hell do I get this thing out of the tank to look at/change it?

bang on the tank. if the car starts after a few good whaks then it is the pump. if not then either something else or a really bad pump. under the car you will see the pump and all the wires.
