Is the stock boost gauge in my 90 Daytona a analog gauge that actually works off of a vacuum line or is it an electronic gauge that works off of the ecu and how accurate are these stock units compared to a quality aftermarket boost gauge? thanks Brandon
Read your other post and just so you are aware, IMO you need a Wideband A/F Gauge before you need a new boost gauge.
Also the engine controller gets its boost info from the Map Sensor whose voltage output is based on vacuum/pressure from a vacuum line off of the intake manifold just like the factory boost gauge.
thanks for all you help guys, at this point I'm trying to get my game plan together before buying any parts, got some good advice from a friend on here to spend the money once and make it count so I intend on doing so, thanks again. Brandon
My stock boost gauge on my91 is dead on with my aftermkt one up to to 15 then it pegs as I boost 23 lbs!
