Dodge Spirit Autometer gauge mounting..

Ok, I have 2 1/16" Auotmeter ultra lite gauges to mount. (1) trans temp , (2) 0-20PSI boost gauge, (3) narrow band A/F gauge.

I am thinking of removing the "warning center" which is located above the radio and fabbing up a black plastic flat gauge mount that would mount in the warning centers original location. That way when the dash trim is snapped and screwed back on, everythign will look somewhat stock.

Has anyone tried this ? If so any pictures?

Any other mounting ideas? I do not want my gauges sitting in the open for everyone too see.

It looks great, I've done the exact same thing to my 90 Spirit.

That would be great. I was going to use some platic 3/32" think sheets that match the platic trim on teh dash perfectly in color and finish. I was going to heat form the plastic so that I can use the mounting holes of the warning center. How did you do it?

I use a dual gauge pod from FWDP on my Spirit R/T. I think it is make by Lotek. It fits the Spirit/Acclaim/Shadow/Sundance cars very good.
