I have an 88' dodge daytona shelby Z. I just got done rebuilding the motor and it has not run right since the rebuild. The car idles high, o2 sensor reads rich all the time, and selinoids are always clicking. The modifications to the car are all from forward motion: New o2 sensor, stage two intercooler, 475 cam, adjustible cam sprocket, underdrive pully, .40 je aluminum pistons, fuel pressure regulator, turbo xs boost controler, 52mm throttle body, magnacore wires, turbo xs blowoff valve. From what I am told the car should have around 300hp and I am having a hard time getting it to that point. If anyone can help I would geatly appriciate it. I am running 10psi right now and the car will jerk when I am driving like the fuel is being shut off. Thanks, Ken

First - check the computer for codes (http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/fault/index.html) is the link if you don't know how to pull codes.

The next thing could be the AIS sensor. When you got the 52mm TB, was the AIS sensor in the TB already?
Or.. it could be a vacuum leak.

Sounds like you're hitting the limp mode rev limiter. Check TPS and MAP sensor wiring and vacuum routing. Make sure the Baro solenoid is hooked up. My bet is you have a problem with the vacuum routing...

If the solenoids are going crazy, then its possible its a serious internal problem with the computer. do you have another one you can try?

no I don't have another computer, but I sure wish I did. yesterday I was driving the car, and all the sudden it started backfiring and died on me, then I figured it ran out of gas but after I put more gas in now it won't start period. I havn't had the chance to ckeck sparkand compression. to try and figure out why it is not starting now. maybe the computer just completely died now???

Check your cam timing. If not properly set,it will cause loss of vacuum and make your O2 sensor try to compensate for a lean mixture.May also cause problem with solenoids.
