It dawned on me that if i was using the S-2 cam and had O/S valves in the "G"head, there would be no reason to be using the washers that usually go in the pockets for the lifters....True / false?
I mean the O/S valves should have longer stems so's not to warrant the use of washers under the lifters. If this is the case, then perhaps there may be some of my problems as i'm using those washers NOW and i've got the O/S valves (44mm intake, 37mm exh)
Second thing is.....does the "G"head have shorter pillar stations, where the cam sits on, as oppose to the swirl head?
Where i'm going with this is....would my issues (timing/idle) be clearer with a ("G" head containing the O/S valves) turbo roller cam, my high rpm lifters.....OR the S-2 cam with the same lifters, but not using washers under them if the valve stems are tall enough?

I can't think of any reason the OS valves would be made longer.

Oversize valves shouldn't be any longer or stick up higher-closer to the cam unless they were made to be longer stem length.....

some oversize valves have a longer stem length than stock....

stock valvelength for installed height above the spring seat is 2.00 inches for the swirl and the bathtub......

the valve lengths themselves are different because of the chamber depths, but the valve install heights are the same, so you shouldn't have to use shims...
