Just got thru reading what seemed like 3Bar posts that stretched back to the IceAge, but my question wasnt in there, so here it is...

I have been "sternly" counselled for having slapped a FWD Performance Stage 5 Cal in my otherwise (internally) stock TI Daytona. hell, the thing runs like no tomorrow...but everyone says it will have Piston issues, if I dont get some fat injectors and a 3Bar installed...
So, not one for knowingly contributing to the early demise of an otherwise mint low miles car...
(Also have a Stage III in one of the other TII cars w/o fat injectors, or 3Bar map...trouble brewing there also??)

I am pricinga 3Bar from another iser, AND some +40's....will this appease the Gods, and keep me from melting pistons? 2.5Exhaust, Hi flow Cat and Bossi exhaust, also Magnecores, Bigger IC, and race car BOV round out the mods...

Will it all work, and can I then safely, all day, every day run it up to say, 18-20psi with no ill effects?

thanks!

the 3 bar will allow you car to see abouve 15psi where a stock 2 bar cant and the +40s will give you mor fuel when its needed and keep you from running rich as your stage 5 cal is programmed to run a 3 bar and +40s and keep you at 18-20psi all day safely

Mopar does not have a 3bar MAP you need to use the GM (or if I recall MSD? has one) but anyway it is based on the GM module. Mine plugged right in (90 ex VNT now TII Daytona) but I am not sure if you have to modify your T1 wiring for it? Someone here should know.

very bad, the 3bar cal with 2bar map would make the engine run rich, but then the +40% part of the cal with stock injectors would lean it back out so that your engine would seem to run ok. but you dont know where your engine is running, it could be really lean, I wouldnt run that cal until you get the hardware its set up for

Yeah I was only speaking for the 3 bar MAP. I agree w/turbobuggy,I did'nt even think about doing the CAL without the rest, I did it all at once: 3 Bar MAP, Cal, +40's.
