Got the 255 walbro sitting here. Supposedly bought a 1990+ model for my 1992 P body.

The wires on the walbro are square, the connector in the tank is round, so I have to go find these connectors and recrimp everything. Wow that is freakin NOT awesome. Would have been nice to have some truthful statements on the site like, "you need to recrimp the wires and use connectors that we dont provide"

If they sent the wrong year pump then well that doesnt help me either because I dont have time to send it back.

They are not open for business right now and Im not waiting to get some help on this.

Why am I having to do this on a supposed kit that is made for the car..............???

Okay, I just found that I didnt have the correct connectors, so I jammed something into the square connectors to make them big enough to slide over the round probs in the stock fuel tank setup.

Not sure if this is a good idea to do. It seems like it might work.
I had to get rid of the actual plastic connector since square fittings didnt fit through. I wrapped 1 wire the opposite direction, then bent both connectors away from themselves so they dont touch and short.

Woot. I tore the old crimped connectors off, soldered them onto new wire, then put the stock plug back together with the "new" old connectors and plugged her in. That was not a project I planned on.

Having the walbro packaged with a universal instruction sheet is NOT what I expected from people who think they have ungodly customer service.

It would take what, a few minutes to make a decent set of instructions with some diagrams that actually represent real dodge parts, not universal parts with instructions that are Wrong when it comes to the electrical connections.

Tank seal is wrong also. nice, They must have sent me the wrong pump.

I guess there was no point choosing the correct pump and getting a receipt because that doesnt mean it was going to be sent.

Well, that is the nature of projects that you are short on time for. The only person you can rely on is yourself and maybe some good friends.

Yeah, sounds like you got a universal kit for the '90 and earlier cars. I just bought another Walbro 255 ltr/hr pump for my '91 Spirit R/T from FWDP. I think it is the same one for the SRT-4. It's for the pump with the internal reservoir. Look in the TIII section at FWDP; I believe that is the pump you are looking for.

Interested, you can only choose 89 or older OR 90 or newer fuel pump on their website.

89+ pump?

I helped one of my friends install a Walbro in his '90 Shadow ES and it used the older style hangar, so '90 may have been a crossover year.

I didnt call because I didnt see a phone # on the website. I didnt feel like email

I got the fuel pump installed, had to use old tank seal. Removed old connectors, and soldered them onto the new pump. The kit I got came with a seal that was about 1" larger, and then it came with this rediculously huge rubber seal that would fit around my head.

I see an external pump and the early style in-tank pump, but not the later '91+style that uses the in-tank reservoir. Chris, do you sell that pump?

whatever pump I got fit just fine in a 1992 tank. Install kit wasnt any help.

I always assumed phone # would be on the "contact us" page, not on the title page which I never look at.
