Just curious, guys running an engine setup similar to the super 60 package, how long does it take to reach full boost? (18psi)

My setup: standard 60 turbo, Full 3", Big IC, ported exhaust man. 20psi. Gvalve. 5speed.

Its taking me to 6K before i actual touch the 20psi on the gauge. Im using a G valve. Starting to think i may be losing boost somewhere...

What boost gauge are you using?

You're sure you're not leaking boost? What bov are you using?

Autometer.
I think i might be leaking boost.
1st gen talon BOV.

It was just a test run and the air intake pipe/filter was left off, so the whistling drowned all the other noise out.

No i didnt. Ive ran it at 20psi before.

This was the first run since almost a year ago and it seems very laggy getting to 20psi. Wondering what RPM other members are getting full boost at.

you've got a boost leak. DO NOT CRUSH THE BOV. Mod it as per www.thedodgegarage.com. As for full boost. My 2.5 with a stock head, cummins i/c, 3" side exit spools the S60 turbo by 2400rpms in 5th gear on the freeway. In 1st gear it slaps so hard it breaks the tires loose.

Yeah, hell if it really takes that long to get boost, why hook up the grainger at all? Try a run with no line hooked to the wastegate can.. Get ready to let go of the gas if you get mad boost.

flipping the grainger around will also give you MAD boost if you don't have a boost leak. As the grainger will always be closed and your actuator will never be pushed open. Please learn how the turbo works before making this suggestion again.
