I've never socketed a computer before. Hell, I've never even opened one up until insomnia kicked in tonight. So I grabbed my nifty $35 turbo computer i picked up at a local yard and decided to start working on taking the steps to do a custom cal. And here's what I ran into:

Crappy quality, but i'm hoping someone can tell me what to do from here, since none of it looks familiar from the guide on here. I grabbed it out of an 85-86 lebaron that had been built up. Including what looked like a common block 2.5L turbo. Is it possible that I'm just over looking something because of the hour. Or have I run into a common newbe problem? If you need better pics just mt me know.

I can't see much in that picture, so I don't know what the problem is BUT....

There are two white connectors in the pic. You say you got this from a 85-86 car. That means you have in your hands a Power Module, not a Logic Module or SMEC. There is nothing in there that you need to or can modify.

If you are wanting to socket a LM for an '87 or earlier car, you need the LM out from under the passenger kick panel.

If you are wanting to socket a SMEC for an '88 you do not need that PM at all.
