Strangest injector failure

I've NEVER seen an injector fail like this.. And I just had THREE out of the 4 do it in my GLHS. Granted, these are old injectors and I'm not even sure what car they came out of. Anyways, they were squirting/leaking profusely out of the side of the injectors. Where the plastic top meets the metal bottoms.
Figures it'd be on a 2 piece intake too.. PITA..

glhs441 and i built a motor for a friend of ours last year, our friend had bought a brand new set of m.p.803s. we took them out of the package and installed them on the rail, bolted rail on, and no fire. after 3 hours of Andy(glhs441) stating that there was no possable way to get 4 bad new injectors, we installed 4 old ones we had laying around, and the car fired right up. glad it was a one piece rail! four bad injectors in the same package, whats the odds of that?

my injectors on the van have hose clamps and silicone all over them. I wonder if that's what they are there to fix?
