thats what its doing!! it did it once back in december then i threw the 89 2.5 injectors in and it never happend again. yesterday i put 2.2's in and it melted injector 3. wtf

Exactly what part is melting?

If the little plastic tip is melting I would say valve problems, getting exhaust gasses pushing back up the intake. Do a compression check.
Or you are running carb dip for fuel. But that would mess them all up.

If the electrical part is burning out then you have an wiring issue and the injector is staying full on instead of pulsing. Look for a pinched or bare wire. Is the #3 plug coming out black compared to the rest?

In either case I would think that the car would run like crap from one hole drowning in fuel or having low compression.
