Actually, brake lines are steel, and can see 2000 psi in a hard stop.
For the filter, I use a GM TPI filter (I can get the number later, if you want) with the -6AN to Saginaw adapters from Summit. That way, I have a $10, 10 micron, EFI safe, filter. The -6AN inline filters from Summit are usually setup for carb applications with a 40 micron filter. You really want 10 microns to keep small particles out of the injectors.
