we have over 25 of the 88/89 stage 5 calibrations to choose from. We match you with the closest off the shelf based on your set-up
Thus, the title "custom" cal. I don't believe that anyone should get in a huff if they can't get one RIGHT NOW. If you are in a hurry, custom parts are not the way to go.

If you do not feel comfortable trying it yourself, put faith in the vendors and give them the time to get it right. There are many happy customers running their calibrations!!

yeah a custom part cant be in a hurry thats why i was comparing it to the s60 thats already created...now what gains youve guys had when switching to custom cals? is there any gain at same boost level? or is it just a cal that would support more boost ect ect

FWD cal = better idle quality and drivability. Your A/C and Cruise still work. Ability to boost as high as the map will read without cutoff.

S60 cal works just fine for me on my daily street driven Shelby Daytona. I'm even running the wrong head for the cal (As i recall the S60 cal is for bathtub heads, i have a ported fast burn). It idles rock solid and gets 42 mpg on the freeway. If you have E85 in your area its AWESOME, because all you have to do is ground one of the wires from the computer and wammo, 100 octane cal. The only issue i've had to deal with so far is it gets ~10 mpg in the city, but i know thats just because it doesnt read the O2 sensor and is probably very rich at idle. The overboost IS pretty weak at only 22 psi on a 3 bar map, but I'm only running 20 psi so that doesnt bother me.
My verdict: The S60 cal is pretty damn good if your setup is close to what they designed it for, you dont plan to make more than ~340 hp and the area you live in doesnt have emissions testing. That said I am going to switch to D-Cal as soon as I'm comfortable using it because sooner or later i'm going to get bored with 20 PSI and I dont like to fool the map sensor in any way.

+1 on the E85 making a difference, but I dont recommend going much more than a 30% mix on a daily driver because of the alcohol contents corrosive properties. Better safe than sorry for me. I definitely agree that the experiences in custom calibrations with different combinations offer better driveability and efficiency while making better power. The S60 is an old school combo, but from what Ive seen does deliver. There was an 86 turbo Z running it that ran around my town, and the guy kept complaining of trashing the gears in the 520's he would swap in. Youd think he would of swapped in a 568 a long time ago...
