I have been looking on here and requesing in the parts wanted section for an AFPR. I have been unlucky thus far. Ebay has some however. But none for our cars. Would other regulators work for us? If so, what would I need to make sure of before I purchase?

you'd need a way to seat it into the fuel rail, that's about it.

There are a few AFPR for the Buick GN or Turbo TA. They use the same stock reg we do, so if it fits one of those, it'll fit ours (1-pc or 2-pc intake anyway). You can usually get an Accufab for a GN for ~$100 on eBay (usually from Accufab direct). There's another brand that's ~$90, but I don't recall the name, and it's not anodized, just bare aluminum.
