I just got my calibration for my SBEC, only I didn't take notice on which way the notch faced on the original chip before I socketed it. Does anyone know for sure which way it should face, towards the inside or outside of the SBEC?

Its been too long since ive looked at a sbec to remember. if you look closely at the board, pin 1 may have a square solder pad. and if it helps any, its towards the inside on a smec.

I'm looking at the chip I removed from my 90' SBEC, the notch on the factory chip faces to the right. FWIW, there is a "1" water marked on this board but it is on the LEFT. I posted up some time ago asking this same question and the response was the notch should go to the right.

Just to make sure, you mean the notch is near the outer edge and not towards the middle?

If you have the board in front of you the the notch in the factory chip faces to the right.
