Yes...its now officially dead. It was officially finicky, and ran right when it wanted to...but now RIP. The Stage 5 SBEC from FWD is dead.
Now, I need to go to the hairdresser and get that huge bride of Frankenstein steak of grey out of my hair! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! No wonder they dont answer their emails over there!

OK...so what now? I installed the factory SBEC, have it "detuned" to a sane and safer 15psi with a G-valve. SOME or most of that weird vibration I had going on has dissipated, to the outgoing SBEC (prev. post) must have been causing some spark/ignition/balance issues.

Question...if I end up ordering another H-Perf SBEC from someone (pregerably from someone who answers their mails...) will all the other Vendors take the new defunch SBEC as a core??

I'm getting pretty sick of hearing we never answer your emails! You sent 2 emails that went unanswered. One in May and one in June! Nothing since then. You have not PM'ed on here either. I am not hard to get a hold of, lots of people talk to me EVERY day. I also get LOTs of emails, so I do miss some here and there.
First off code 53 is normal on a lot of our cals, so that very well may mean nothing. You even admit it ran right, and calibrations usually don't run good one day and bad the next. More likely an issue with your car. Second the ECU would still be under warranty if you bought it in the last year. Just send it back and we will test it out, and replace if necessary
later,
Cindy
