+40's and cal questions

Ok I am upgrading my mitsu to a 50trim. so Now I am getting +40's and am wondering if a custom cal would elimintae the need for an adjustable FPR?
and how much boost can +40's support? should I be good to 20psi? plan on running about 15 daily, 20psi track and weekends

currently I am running a mitsu intercooled with a 5th injector and a zenor on the map, MBC set to 15psi, 5th injector not comming on yet, but have it set to come on at 15psi but havent tried out how much boost I can add before I start to come out of the rich

I was just going to go with a AFPR but I also want to change rev limiter and speed governer as well

I've ran over 27PSI with my set of +40's and custom cal, never had a problem.

This of course is my daily driver. =)

perfect that is what i want to here so no aFPR is need right if so then All I need is a spare sbec to socket

well the comp cant really compensate for that much extra fuel, i was always under the impression that you need an adpr to turn the pressure down, otherwise you will be dumping fuel in at stock pressures with bigger injectors

i'm running +40s in my 2.5 omni at 20 psi and it seems to run good..... my af gauge reads well atleast.....

A stock computer can't without the AFPR, but one socketed running a custom cal should I would think? and if not then I add the AFPR

yea but even a performance cal cant adjust the actual fuel pressure like you could with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, think of it this way. is the computer manaully going to turn the knob on the afpr?

Computer adjust the opening and closing pulse for INJECTORS, thus control the amount of fuel.

You don't need the adjustable fuel regulator but you will not be able to fine tune without it.

Yeah, get an AFPR, it helps. I have one installed along w/ my custom cal.

ok that was what I was wondering, when I get one should I get a rissing rate AFPR? or just an adjustable one?

For the price of an AFPR and a custom cal, you can buy your own burner, a few chips, a couple sockets, and make your own calibration. Then you don't need an AFPR, just adjust the computer.
