Got everything installed went from a glhs logic to a 87 stage 5. Check all the new wires real good.

Now it falls on it's face around 3000rpm or less. Air fuel at idle is around 12.0 and stays below 13.0 untill it cuts out then goes way lean.

Getting codes.
13 map sensor no change in signal between pulses.
14 map sensor above 4.7v or below .02v.
35 fan relay.

I'm going to call Cindy on Monday but what do you guys think it is?

the... map... sensor? Yeah, pretty sure that's what it is. Did you do the extrnal map swap? Is it wired up properly? Did you get the 3bar from a car that didn't run? Is the signal line hooked up to the map? If the wires are backwards you might be needing a new map sensor : (

It's a MSD 3-bar map from cindy. Are the msd maps wired like the gm maps?

Map came in a msd box part no. 2313 but the sensor is part no. 12223861 which is the GM part no. for a 3 bar map.

Fwd performance really has been great to me. Cindy sad with code 13 and 14 it could be map or logic module so she's sending me both. Now that's customer service. But I'm going to feel like a real ass if I find that I wired it wrong.

somewhere here there is a topic about those gm 3bar's being screwed up from the factory... i put one in my car and had to swap the positive and negative wires to make it right... this is what i found after burning out 2 sensors....
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...&topic=17693.0
dunno if it still applies... this happened to me at the start of the summer... maybe they've recalled and fixed them

I wired the map wrong on my car and melted the map. So I bought an MSD and plugged it in and still nothing. Found the .5 volt lead from the computer had been totalled (trim cal) so I found a .5 volt lead from the TPS and have the power for the TPS running the map and the TPS now. But it runs good. The key I find is not having a friend help you wire lol, he got mixxed up on the wire colors and that was it.
